Learning Map

“Google Maps for learning” — an interactive visual map that uses AI to help learners navigate complex curricula and find their own path.

The challenge

Bodo Hoenen has spent his career thinking about how people learn — particularly in environments without traditional educators, like refugee camps and underserved communities. He founded Inginios around a simple but hard problem: how do you help a learner understand where they are, where they're going, and what matters most for their goals?

Traditional course catalogs are flat lists. They don't convey relationships between concepts, prerequisites, or how a learner's specific goal should shape their path through a complex curriculum.

The solution

We built an interactive visual learning map — a radial visualization where learners can literally see their curriculum as an explorable landscape. Concepts cluster together. Progress moves you toward the center. The shape of the map adapts to what you're trying to learn.

AI-powered personalization sits at the core: learners state a goal, and the system maps it to the most relevant learning path through the curriculum. It's not a recommendation engine — it's a real-time personalized map that changes as you learn.
